dad, you met me at Cleveland airport and welcomed me with a hug- into the Mallone family (and the extended Sanzotta family), into your home, and into your heart. As your New Zealand AFS daughter, you were a superb father-always ready to listen, to give wise guidance, to draw the line around what was (and what wasn't) acceptable behaviour and more than restrained about checking out the 'possible dates' against your incredible memory banks! You & Mom supported myself and Cathy- sisters with very active (and individual) schedules, to take up the opportunities as they arose, and allow those constantly shifting waves between adolescence and adulthood to flow without overwhelming us and yet to be there when we needed you Thank you Dad, from the bottom of my heart- Love you and miss you.
