Joe Mallone was my first Dad when I arrived as an AFS foreign exchange student in Geneva, having grown up as an only child with my mother and grandmother in Germany. Joe treated me as a son, and I happily became a member of his extended Mallone/Sanzotta family, with a brother, two sisters, Mom and Dad, lots of uncles and aunts, and Grandma Sanzotta. He seemed to know everybody in Geneva, and everybody seemed to know him, and I loved hearing the stories he would tell about life there. Joe Mallone enriched my life immesurably, and I will always cherish his memory. Love, Rolf
